Courses on Chinese art by Zhou Jun in France.
Zhou Jun is a well known Chinese painter living in Europe. He is a former professor of the academy of art in Shanghai and curator for the national museum for modern art in that same city. Zhou Jun had many expositions in museums and galleries, e.g. in the "Rijksmuseum" in Amsterdam and museum "Het Princessehof". Reproductions of his works were printed by Verkerke and sold world-wide.

Prices p.p. are:
Course fee: €285 (painting materials excluded)
6 nights stay in a double-room with a sink + meals: €335
(for a single-room : €95 extra)
Stay at the camping site + meals: €305

Meals include:
A welcome dinner on arrival day
5 days with 3 meals a day
and a breakfast on leaving day

The courses include: Chinese art history (landscapes, flowers, people and calligraphy; with slide shows and videopresentations), demonstrations of Chinese ink techniques, workshops for Chinese ink painting, Chinese calligraphy and sketching in the field.The courses will be organised for professional art connoisseurs and painters, as well as for amateur painters and art lovers.The high quality of Zhou Jun's work and his experience as a teacher are reflected in the high quality of the courses.

Zhou Jun's studio, "Château Machiel" (see pictures) has a 200 year long history. It is situated in a park sized 20.000m 2, in the centre of a large natural area, not far from Abbéville. Within a radius of 20 kilometres one finds forests, hills, a protected bird's area and the Atlantic with white rocks and sandy beaches. Machiel village can be reached by car. It lies within 400 km from Utrecht, 10 km from a railwaystation (Rue), 120 km from Brussels, 200 km from Paris, 300 km from London and 275 km from Aachen. Googlemaps route from Breda.

Château Machiel has several double-rooms and a camping site, with good sanitary conditions. There is an excellent cook who knows the Chinese kitchen as well as the French. Each day three meals will be served. Coffee and tea will be freely available.
